Q & A from Communications VP

Why did you decide to go Greek?

Moving to a new city and attending one of the biggest colleges in Texas can be daunting. Going Greek was a fun way to meet new people!

Any recruitment advice?

Don’t take it too seriously! Have fun with it and it’ll all work out in the end.

Why Alpha Xi?

Being an Alpha Xi came naturally to me. I never had to think about what I was going to say or who I had to impress. I was able to just be me and have fun!

What’s one of your favorite memories from becoming an Alpha Xi?

Bid Day. It’s the best feeling to see the name of the house you love on your bid card and run to it with all your new sisters! That day, I knew I had made the right decision to go Greek because I met so many people I already loved and wanted to get to know better!

Why did you become an exec member?

As Panhellenic delegate I loved getting to interact with other chapters! Communications VP let me continue working on chapter relations within the Greek community while also showing what being an Alpha Xi looks like!

What are you excited to work on as Communications VP?

I’m excited to show others all the amazing things Alpha Xis do during the year through social media, newsletters and events! Not only are we communicating with the Greek community and the university as a whole, but with PNMs, parents and our awesome Alpha Xi alumnae! They all love to see what we’re up to and how our sisters are making their mark on campus.

What social media accounts should we be following right now?

@texasalphaxi on Instagram and Alpha Xi Delta at The University of Texas on FB ;)
